Commitment to Technology
Not only is Spectrum committed to producing premium Non-GMO corn hybrids, but we’re also committed to leading the way in technology and data solutions that will positively impact your bottom line.
Protect Your Investment
It could be said that Spectrum as a company has a one-track mind. Our primary mission is to continue to find advancements in technology as it relates to non-gmo corn. We spend countless hours evaluating corn hybrids, testing those hybrids in different environments, and comparing and contrasting products and practices that can continue to raise the yield levels in non-gmo corn.
Some of the greatest challenges that we all face in raising a corn crop are the inconsistencies in environment from year to year, whether it be differing levels of disease or insect pressure, inconsistent rainfall totals, or whatever else mother nature decides to throw at us.
So, what is the solution? Strategic technological partnerships that make crop management practices simple.
The Pest Management Network
Spensa Technologies Partnership
With inconsistent insect pressure in mind, Spectrum has taken the stance that the ideal scenario does not involve using traits when we don’t know we’re going to need them, just as we shouldn’t be applying insecticides when the pressure isn’t there.
So, Spectrum has partnered with Spensa Technologies to give growers the ability to view important pest population data for insects such as Corn Earworm, Western Bean Cutworm, and European Corn Borer in real-time. Thus providing valuable information to protect your investment without traits. With more than 400 traps in place, the Spectrum – Spensa Z-Trap Network will stretch from North and South Dakota through the Midwestern corn belt to eastern Ohio, providing growers throughout the region valuable insights into potential yield saving data.
